GoldLink - The God Complex (When I Die) | Mixtape

GoldLink may be from the DMV area, but his style is anything but reminiscent of the sound that has birthed rap stars like Wale and Fat Trel, to a lesser extent.

His debut album The God Complex delivers a unique experience, which is caught up in "future bounce," as he likes to call it. Whatever it is, GoldLink is certainly at the forefront of the movement, and he has the lyrical skills to match the eclectic style.

At nine tracks and just under 26 minutes, this is a journey worth taking with the rising talent. Stream GoldLink's The God Complex below and peep his video.

The project features only one guest appearance, that being Columbian-American writer/singer/director Kali Uchis, with production form Fingalick, Louie Lastic, Tek.lun, Lakim, JFK//Jaylen! and McCallaman. It was executive produced by Henny Yegezu, Pape Diop, and Alex Ben-Abdallah, also having been mixed and mastered by the latter on behalf of IndieMediaLab. Art direction was handled by illustrator Christina Mudarri and graphic designer Nick Fulcher.
